Grabbing a power-up now does something. Snag a red one and it fires a little missile at every rival, arcing across the arena and landing with a thump (the farther the target, the longer the flight). Green and blue power-ups vanish in a soft puff of dust. Pure eye candy for now, but it makes every pickup feel a lot punchier.
